Two People Arrested After Abbeville Police Find Drugs Hidden in Cereal Box

Abbeville, AL - Abbeville Police arrested 2 people on drug charges Tuesday morning.  49 year old Darryl Lee Gaudette and 35 year old Cynthia Kelly both of Fountain Florida were arrested during a routine traffic stop on U.S. Highway 431 South in Abbeville.  During a search, police recovered 459 grams of crystal meth hid in a cheerios box, an undisclosed amount of marijuana and over $2000 in cash.  The street value for the crystal meth is estimated to be $60,000.  Gaudette was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug trafficking while Kelly was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and drug trafficking.  Both Gaudette and Kelly are being held in the Henry County Jail with no bond awaiting an initial appearance in court.
