As the state's first college of osteopathic medicine draws near completion, so does the place many students will call home. More than 100 people have already committed to the school's first class and they're now looking for a place to stay. A new apartment building under construction will soon be an option.

The multimillion dollar housing complex is just yards away from the school's campus. The complex  will offer many amenities for students and their families, including a communal garden and fitness complex.

ACOM Associate Dean of Student Services, Philip Reynolds said the housing complex proximity to  campus is serving as a great selling point for students."There are very few osteopathic medical schools in the country that can claim they have student housing on campus. It's a huge benefit for us, even on the recruiting side to be able to say you can come to ACOM and live 150 yards away," continued Reynolds.

In just a week's time, more than 50 students have applied for ACOM's on-campus housing. The complex will be ready to students to move in on July 15th.
