Ronnie Calvin Strickland, a resident of Ashford, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 63.
Funeral services for Ronnie will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Rocky Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Andy Watford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times will be at the family residence.

Born in Houston County, Alabama, Ronnie was a son of John Calvin and Betty Ruth Smith Strickland of Ashford, Alabama. He worked in Maintenance for New Hope Industries for several years and attended Rocky Creek United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Steve & Cindy Strickland, Dothan; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelia & Dennis Robbins, Dothan and Delane & Mike Parris, Hoover, Al; Several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles also survive.
