Shirley Hicks Foxworth

Shirley Hicks Foxworth, a resident of Pansey, Alabama, died Sunday afternoon, February 24, 2013, in a Dothan hospital. She was 61.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 27, 2013, in the Antioch Baptist Church, near Ashford, with Reverend Greg Aman officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Attn: Katie Rotton, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111.
Mrs. Foxworth was born and reared in Houston County, near Ashford, daughter of the late Rufus S. Hicks and Mary Eunice Pate Hicks. She was a 1970 graduate of Ashford High School and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Foxworth lived in Pansey most of her adult lifetime. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Haley Marie Suggs-Foxworth; four brothers, Rupert Hicks, Albert Hicks, Edward Hicks, and Danny Hicks.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Jimmy Charles Foxworth, Pansey; two sons, Todd Foxworth and wife, Melissa, Ashford; Vance Foxworth and wife, Elise, Gordon; a brother, Sammy Hicks and wife Hilda, Ashford; four grandchildren, Tori Foxworth, Riece Ann Foxworth, Jimmy Austin Foxworth, and Lindsey Grace Foxworth; several nieces and nephews.
