Mary Carpenter Bradley

Mrs. Mary
Carpenter Bradley of Perry, GA (formerly of Wicksburg) passed away Tuesday,
February 19, 2013 at Perry Hospital in Georgia. She was
85.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February
22, in Piney Grove Assembly of God Church with Rev. Ed Bradley and Rev. Billy
Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral
Home of Slocomb directing. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be
made to Piney Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery Fund, 266 South County Road
9, Newton, AL 36352.
The family will receive friends at the
church on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Bradley was
born on July 8, 1927 in Barbour County, AL to the late Oscar Lee and Beatrice
Campbell Carpenter. She earned her GED along with her sister, Pauline Mathis,
after they both had raised their children.
She was preceded in
death by her husband, William Gordon Bradley, who passed away on September 10,
2000. She was living in Perry, GA with her son, Edward and Vicki Bradley. Mrs.
Bradley was known as "Aunt Mary" to a host of nephews and
nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and
sisters: Pauline (Hosea) Mathis, O.H. (Bonnie) Carpenter, Ray (Kathryn)
Carpenter, Billy Carpenter, Wayne Carpenter, Howard Carpenter and Lillian
Carpenter.
Survivors include her son: Edward (Vicki) Bradley of
Perry, GA; two daughters: Janice Carmiencke of Alamagordo, NM and Theresa
Creagan of St. Cloud, FL; grandchildren: Kara, Anna, Jesse, Aaron, Ryan and
Rebecca; one sister: Milbris (James) Shaw of Smiths, AL; one brother: James
(Mildred) Carpenter of Slocomb; two sisters-in-law: Evelyn (Billy) Carpenter of
Wicksburg and Maxine (Wayne) Carpenter of Eufaula, AL; a brother-in-law: I.H.
Bazhaw of Albany, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
