Police Arrest Man For Trying To Make Purchase With Counterfeit Cash

On February 14, 2013 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest involving the use of a forged instrument.

Investigators say Jason Taylor attempted to pay for services at a local business by presenting what appeared to be United States currency. An alert attendant questioned Taylor about the bills authenticity then contacted the police.

Investigators have confirmed the bill was counterfeit and Jason Taylor has been charged with First Degree Possession of a Forged Instrument.

 

     Jason Taylor, black male 29 years of age, of Jakin, Georgia was arrested and charged with First Degree Possession of a Forged Instrument with a $5,000 bond. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
