Bobby Ray Harden

Bobby Ray Harden, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday evening, February 12, 2013, at his home. He was 72.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 14, 2013, in Gardens of Memory with Reverend John Smith and Reverend Gerald Love officiating. The Alabama State Troopers will conduct full honors at the graveside. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Trooper Harden was a native of Eastaboga, Alabama, son of the late Leonard Horace Hall Harden and Vera Bell Harden. He was a 1958 graduate of Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Alabama. Trooper Harden moved to Dothan in 1963. He received a degree from Enterprise State Junior College in Criminal Justice in 1971. Trooper Harden retired in 1989 from the Alabama Department of Public Safety as a Trooper in the Dothan Post where he served his entire career. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cottonwood and loved car racing and Bluegrass music.
Surviving relatives include his son, Ray Harden (Martha); adopted children, Michael Wallace (Kim), Ted Wallace and Andy Wallace; close friends, Eulan and Ella Ruth Holland; Bailey and Edith Hicks and their daughter, Penelope Johnson and Tommy and Rebecca Merritt and their family; a host of other friends.
Serving as active pallbearers will be members of the Alabama Department of Public Safety Honor Guard.
