With counselors and ministers on hand, Dale County students returned to school Tuesday. The school system is making sure students have the resources they need to cope and also trying to make sure people never forget the ultimate sacrifice made by Charles Poland.
"The world will see that he was a true hero, we have retired that bus number and bus is off the route and we will never use it again in Dale County. Those students had a new bus this morning and we are forever grateful for that," said Superintendent Bynum.

Superintendent Bynum said in the next several weeks they will sit down with local and state agencies to review safety plans, but for now it's time to focus on healing.
