Richard L. James, Jr. of Enterprise, AL passed away, Tuesday, February 05, 2013 at his home. He was 70.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, February 7th at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until service time. Memorial donations may be made to: American Cancer Society % Linda Andress, PO Box 310900, Enterprise, AL 36331.
Richard enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps out of high school and voluntarily transferred to the U. S. Army for flight school. Richard served one tour in Vietnam and has been a flight instructor for the past 39 years at Fort Rucker.
Survivors include his wife, Pharanee "Toy" James, Enterprise, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Anita James Bass and Darren, Atlanta, GA; son, Richard L. (Ricky) James III, Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, James Brannen Bass; William Kaden Bass; Emmaline Kathryn (Emma Kate) Bass.
