Robby Shelton's college recruitment seems like it has been going on forever, however according to a source close to Shelton, it appears to be over.

The 2012 Future Masters champion has committed to the University of Alabama. Shelton called Crimson Tide head coach Jay Seawell and informed him of the news on Sunday night.

Shelton enjoyed plenty of success in 2012. He won the Junior Players and Junior PGA championships, finished 4th in the Greystone Invitational and is currently ranked the number one golfer in the country according to Golfweek/Sagarin rankings and Polo Golf Rankings.

He also was a key member of the U.S. Junior Ryder Cups victory in Chicago, Ill.

The Wilmer, Ala. native has said he could possibly return to the Dothan Country Club for the 2013 Future Masters.
