Katie Margaret Hall McClenny

Katie Margaret Hall McClenny, widow of Joe McClenny of Hartford Rt. and Malvern, passed away at Hartford Health and Rehab, on Tuesday, January 29, 2013.
Mrs. McClenny was born August 11, 1916, to Jesse and Marietta McLendon Hall. She was the youngest of seven brothers, two sisters, and predeceased by all.
She is survived by three daughters, Neva Jo Saunders (E.H.), Nan Perry (the late Jack Perry), Norma Tindell (Paul), all of Malvern and Hartford. Five grandchildren, Paula Tindell Pate, Laresa Flournoy (Todd), Randy Perry (Sheri), Chris Perry (Alicia), Timothy Perry (Raschelle). Great-grandchildren, Katelin McJunkins, Camille Williams (John David), Ethan Flournoy, Emma Flournoy, Tyler Perry, (Emmie), Bradley Perry, Wesley Perry, Joseph Perry, Benjamin Perry and Samantha Perry. Also, many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McClenny graduated from Slocomb High School in 1933. She completed a course from the FRANKLIN INSTITUTE OF DRESS, DESIGING, DRESSMAKING AND COAT MAKING, ROCHESTER, NEW YORK, IN JULY 1937 and was an avid seamstress for the rest of her life.
She was a member of Malvern Baptist Church for many years, where she taught in various Bible classes and was presently a member of Union Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, February 1, 2013, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Coley M. Holloway officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church, 3 miles north of Slocomb with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, January 31, 2013. Flowers will be accepted.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all the staff of Hartford Health and Rehab for all their love and care extended to our Mother/Grandmother during her two year stay there. She and the family grew to love all of you dearly.
