Elizabeth Dowd has been in the spotlight for her success on the volleyball and basketball courts, and soccer field. On Wednesday, the Providence Christian standout chose volleyball as her avenue into the next level and signed a letter of intent with Shorter University in Georgia.

Dowd will go down in the PCS record books for her accomplishments as an Eagle. She was a two-time State Tournament MVP as she led the Providence volleyball team to back-to-back Class 2A State Championships.

Dowd has also earned the Dothan Eagle's Super 12 Player of the Year accolade the last three years.
