Cody Santora Signs WIth Southern Union

One of the top baseball players in the Wiregrass signed his letter of intent on Tuesday to play college baseball. Slocomb shortstop Cody Santora put pen to paper and inked his commitment to Southern Union Community College.
Last season, Santora hit .415, homered once, and drove in 37 runs. He pitched for the Red Tops as well, posting a 7-2 record with a 1.66 ERA. and 48 strikeouts in 46 1/3 innings of work.
Santora is the Slocomb High's 2013 Valedictorian as well.
He was also named Dothan Eagle Super 12, awarded the Joe Mason Scholarship, All Conference in the W.A.C. and Honorable Mention All-State in Class 3A.
Santora was also a member of the Wiregrass Cardinals this past summer.
