Margaret Sanders Bush

Mrs. Margaret Sanders Bush, 84, of Blakely, Ga., died early Monday morning, Jan. 28, 2013, at Pioneer Community Hospital of Early. Her funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon, January 29, 2013, at 4 PM EST at the First United Methodist Church in Blakely with Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends in the church social hall starting at 3 PM until 3:50 PM. Active pallbearers will be Tommy Freeman, Ben Freeman, Matt Barefield, Brad Bush, Andy Bush and Mike Ezell . Burial will follow in the Blakely Cemetery.

Mrs. Bush was born August 16, 1928 in Hurtsboro, Al. to the late James A. Sanders and Shilly Dean Livingston Sanders. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blakely where she served as church secretary for many years. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Elmo Bush, Jr., a grandson, Joseph Bush, by 2 brothers, Glen Sanders and Bill Sanders and by 3 sisters, Sarah Fuqua, Martha Dean Nolley and Mildred Streetman. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 265, Blakely, Ga. 39823.

Mrs. Bush's survivors include 2 daughters: Rhonda Freeman of Columbia, Al. and Robyn Ezell and husband Mike of Webb, Al., 2 sons: Cliff Bush and his wife Mary Edith and Andy Bush, all of Blakely, Ga. There are 8 grandchildren: Tom Freeman, Jr. & Jennifer of Dothan, Al., Ben Freeman & Robin of Columbia, Al., Brandon Bush of Honolulu, Hawaii, Brad Bush & Alecia of Duluth, Ga., Andy Bush of Moultrie, Ga., Valarie Bush of Thomasville, Ga., Laura Bush Thomas of Savannah, Ga. and Ashley Barefield & Matt of Headland, Al. There are also 10 great grandchildren: Brianne Freeman, Auburn, Al., Matthew Freeman, Libby Freeman and Anslee Freeman all of Columbia, Al., Rhiannon Freeman of Dothan, Al., Julianna Bush and Cade Patterson of Duluth, Ga., Blair Lynn Thomas of Savannah, Ga., Sophie and Ella Barefield, both of Headland, Al.
