Bonifay Police received information on the location of two separate fugitives from justice.  Both wanted for absconding from state probation and both having previously fled from law enforcement officers since becoming wanted criminals.

It was around midnight on January 14, 2013 that Rokelle Ka Shayne Jackson, black male, 26 years-of-age, from Caryville, Florida was apprehended at a government housing complex in Bonifay.  Jackson had fled from officers on Friday night when they responded to a suspicious person call.  When Jackson was asked for identification he fled on foot and is now facing additional charges for resisting arrest.  Jackson is also a suspect in a separate vehicle pursuit from November 2012 that is under investigation by the Holmes County Sheriff's Office.

Around 1:00 am on January 15, 2013 a second fugitive was apprehended at a local motel in Bonifay.  James Curtis Everett Jr., black male, 21 years-of-age, also from Caryville, Florida was taken into custody without incident.  Both subjects had been under supervision of the Probation/Parole division of the Department of Corrections.  Jackson was on probation for robbery by sudden snatching, while Everett had previous charges of grand theft.

Both subjects are in the Holmes County Jail pending further legal process.  The Bonifay Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance bringing these two fugitives to justice.
