After months of debate over the restructuring of Dothan Magnet Schools, Superintendent Tim Wilder proposed four workshops that would allow the public to give their input. This news is welcomed by "Save Our Schools", a group of concerned parents and community members that rallied together when the possibility of restructuring magnet schools was first brought up for discussion.

Members of the group said they are glad to finally get some clarification, but they are still confused as to why anything needs to be changed about the current system. "I'm very excited that we are going to get these workshops because we've been asking for this information, I'm not excited that they are still considering dissolving the magnet schools obviously," said Save Our Schools President,

Rhonda Pasibe.

These workshops will allow parents like Pasibe to express their concerns and will also give others a chance to give their input and help develop a plan to improve the current system. The public forms will be held at Honeysuckle Middle School on Feb. 11, Carver Magnet School on Feb. 18, Girard Middle School on March 4 and Beverlye Magnet School on March 11.
