Mrs. Jeanette Ina Norton of Slocomb passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 83.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Newton and Chaplain Eddie Bliss officiating. Burial will follow in Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. and will continue until service time.
Mrs. Norton was born on March 14, 1929 in Geneva County to the late Clayton and Onice Wynell Johnson Keel. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Frank Norton; one son, Floyd Norton; one grandson, Tony Norton and one sister, Sue Rehanike preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter: Frankie McDaniel of Slocomb, AL; three sons: Terry Register (Jeff Vickers) of Slocomb, Larry Register (Loraine) of Mexico and Billy Norton of Slocomb, AL; two special grandchildren: Dina Strickland and James Bailey; brothers: Leon Keel (Betty) , John Keel and Gene Keel all of Slocomb; sisters: Myrl Maddox and Martha Elder both of Slocomb;14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
