Bert Eugene Christian, of Daleville, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 78.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Pilgrim Home Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. Saturday prior to service time.

Mr. Christian was born April 17, 1934 in New Albany, PA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a truck driver most all of his working life. He has been a resident of Daleville for over 40 years and attended Pilgrim Home Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty Christian of Daleville; his children, Rhonda Sarli (Lee) of Jacksonville, FL, Randy Christian (Betty Jo) of Daleville and Robin Weeks, of Adams, TN; six granddaughters; two grandsons; five great-grandsons; three brothers and one sister.
