Holy Cow! Milk Prices Could Soon Double.

"They are playing with
everybody across the nation because they are not able to get along. It's all a
big game right now for them and they don't understand how things like that
affect real people throughout the country," explained David Oakley.
Oakley said his family
goes through at least five gallons of milk a week and this potential price jump
has him considering cheaper options."Since we've got a
little bit of acreage we are actually looking into getting a milk cow for next
year so we can have our own milk so we don't have to worry about the price of
milk," said Oakley.
Oakley and
many others may be on the right track in buying a cow because milk remains at
the top of everyone's shopping list and at the bottom of lawmakers' priority
list. Congress
must come to an agreement on the current Farm Bill by January 1st or
the dairy subsidy will expire and that's when the prices of dairy products
could skyrocket.
