Several reports show that healthcare will be the top growing career field of 2013.
This comes as good news for Dothan, as healthcare officials say 45 percent of the jobs in the city are in the medical community.
It's projected that most of the top 20 jobs of 2013 will be healthcare related, with the real demand being for registered nurses and home health professionals.
Talana Bell, the CFO of Flowers Hospital, said the increase in need comes from baby boomers that are getting older and needing more healthcare.
"With the growing aging population, the baby boomers are filling up the hospitals and the after hospital care. We need to fill those positions," she said.
