Mark Emory Foster, 47, of Dothan passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, December 28, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Dickenson officiating. Burial with Honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Mark was born February 25, 1965 in Dothan and lived his entire life here. He was a 1983 graduate of Dothan High School. He was employed with Williams Lincoln-Mercury which became Medford Motors while he worked there. His service with the Dothan Police Department began in 2001 where he worked with Traffic Division. Mark was an avid NASCAR fan and loved supporting the Alabama Crimson Tide. He worked security for the National Peanut Festival Queens, Wiregrass Commons Mall, and Providence School. He was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church and the local chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police. Mark was preceded in death by his mother Margie Adams Foster; his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his wife Crystal Spann Foster of Dothan; a son Caleb Foster; a daughter Hannah Foster; his father Emory (Frances) Foster of Dothan; a brother Jeff (Sharon) Foster of Ashford; father and mother-in-law Howard and Brenda Spann; brother and sister-in-law Jody and Jeila May Spann; a nephew Justin Foster; a niece Kaylen (Patton) Shoupe.
