Clayton Jordan has
spent the past 30 years working with children's ministries, teaching tennis and
guitar lessons, and even entertaining kids with his famous ventriloquist act. Regardless
of what he was doing he's made a lasting impression on a lot of kids in this
area.
Now those kids and their parents are attempting to repay the favor during Clayton's time of need. Clayton was recently injured while cleaning church buses, causing him to have to undergo a couple of surgeries and several weeks of rehab.
Since his accident there has been an overwhelming response from companies and people wanting to donate their time, money, and supplies to help make things a little brighter for someone who's given so much to the community. "When we found out that he needed us it was time for us to be a blessing for someone who's blessed our lives," said Sonia Crutchfield.
Crutchfield is one of thousands of parents that have watched their children's lives be impacted by Clayton. When she heard about Clayton's accident she wanted to help in any way she could. She and others organized a group to clean, repair and paint Clayton's home. They also set up a fund to help with his medical expenses.
If you would like to donate to the "Clayton Jordan Fund" you can do so at Friend Bank located at 3105 Ross Clark Circle.
