Workers at Flowers Hospital are trading in their scrubs for Santa suits this Christmas.

They've been taking part in a project called "the twelve days of giving."

It started December third, and each day team members bring various items that will be donated to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank.

The hospital hopes to raise over two thousand pounds of food as well as other household items needed by the food bank.

"We came up with the twelve days of giving so one day you may bring canned food, one day drinks," said Karen Wortmann, with the hospital. "The food bank also needs blankets and coats so we had a day dedicated to bringing coats and a day dedicated to bring blankets."

The hospital is also accepting food and blankets.
