Three people believed to be in possession of stolen goods are in custody after a high speed chase ended in a wreck.  Officers began chasing because they believed the people inside the vehicle had committed theft.

Speeds are believed to have reached up to 100 miles per hour as the suspect's vehicle traveled east along U.S. Highway 84.  The pursuit ended when the automobile crashed about one mile east of Ross Clark Circle.  Radio transmissions indicated merchandise was thrown into the roadway near the Houston County Jail.
