Mrs. Cora Lee Stallings Avery, 76, of Abbeville passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home.
Ms. Avery was born on October 28, 1936, in Rupert Georgia. She spent most of her adult life in Columbus, Georgia until moving to Southeast Alabama in 2005.
Survivors include four daughters, Cassandra Magana of Cowarts, AL; Sabrina Small of Atlanta, GA; Yolanda Allen-Jurgensen of Fredericksburg, VA; and Tangee Fairley of Columbus, GA; a stepson, Henry Avery, Jr.; two sisters, Daisy Mae Lane and Tommie Lee Strong, both of Detroit, MI; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
