Angela Kay Mathis Spann, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 8, 2012 in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in Clearman Chapel of Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Judy Dyson officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the funeral home.
Born in Ozark, Alabama, Kay was a daughter of the late Thedford and Anjelia Summersett Mathis. She worked as a store manager for Lamb BP prior to her retirement. She attended Headland High School and was a member of Shady Grove Congregational Holiness Church.
In Addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Teddy Jeremy Shiver and a brother, Ted Mathis.
Surviving are a son, Johnny Spann, Jr, Dothan, AL; a daughter, Monica Kay Brannon, Headland, Al; a brother, Clinton (Kathy) Mathis, Headland, Al; a sister, Bonnie Mathis, Headland, Al; granddaughters, Cheyenne Mathis, Bailey Spann, Libby Kay Cook and Sierra Shiver; grandsons, Luke Shiver, Levi Shiver, Bradley Spann and Landon Curry.
