Firearm Assault: Suspect Remains Unidentified

On December 6, 2012 at 3:50 a.m. the Dothan Police Department responded to a firearm assault. Police met with the victim at a local hospital and learned he had been involved in an altercation at a residence located in the 100 block of Parish Street where he confronted a man he believed to have stolen his wallet the previous day.  The victim said an argument ensued and he was struck in the arm with a baseball bat, and shot in the left leg.  Neither injury was life threatening. Investigators are working with the victim to identify the shooter and are asking anyone with information about the case or identity of the suspect to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.
