Mr. Charles "Charlie" H. Dalton, Jr. of Slocomb passed
away Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Noland Hospital. He was
67.
Funeral
services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, in the First Baptist
Church in Slocomb with Rev. Dan Raley officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist
Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made
to First Baptist Church of Slocomb Building Fund, P.O. Box 428, Slocomb, AL 36375 or Gentiva Home Health Care, 2740
Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL
36303.
The family
will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m.
Charlie was
born on March 12, 1945 in Geneva County, AL to the late Mr. Charles H. Dalton,
Sr. and Flora Foster Dalton. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Auburn University
Pharmacy School and was employed with Southeast Alabama Medical Center as a
Pharmacist for 41 years.
Survivors
include his wife of 30 years: Mary Ann
Dalton of Slocomb; two sons: Byran
Oglesby (Felicia) of San Antonio, TX, Chad Nance (Debbie) of Bluffton, SC; seven
grandchildren: Zachary, Timothy, Brent,
Samantha, Aidan, Abby and AnMei; two great grandchildren; several loving
cousins; and many friends.
The family
would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Noland
Hospital, Dr. Scott McAllister and staff, and Dr. Rodney Beauchamp and staff for
their loving care and kindness extended to Charlie and the family during his
illness.
