Elder Cary Lee Sanders

Elder Cary Lee Sanders, Sr. of Dothan passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at his residence. He was 87.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Reverends Tim Willis, Ray Jones, and Bob Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. Brother Orrin Barrett will officiate at the graveside service.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, December 5, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund.
Mr. Sanders was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He served in the Navy during WWII and the Army during the Korean War. He served as pastor of Ramah Primitive Baptist Church in Josie, AL for twenty one years and was a truck driver for thirty five years. He was well known for his smile, loving personality and most importantly served God faithfully.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Birl and Eula Sanders, daughter, Caryl Harper, grandsons, Jason Sanders, Harry O'Neill, one brother, one sister, and one son-in-law.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Sanders, daughters, Patricia O'Neill, Pamela Oddo and her husband, Frank, Debra Davis and her husband, Arnold, sons, Cary L. Sanders and his wife, Linda, Michael Sanders, Robert Sanders and his wife, Mary, brother, Gerald Sanders and his wife, Sue, grandchildren, Stacey Bernard, Patrick O'Neill, Jr., Michael O'Neill, Tiffany White, Frank Oddo, Jr, Terri Cardon, Bryan Oddo, Ronnie Oddo, Cary Sanders, III, Craig Sanders, Khara Sanders, Joni Eubanks, Courtney Sanders, Keith Simon, Shaun Simon, Justin Simon, twenty two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and wonderful church family.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
