The much anticipated reveal came Friday in Dearborn, MO as one of the winning ticket holders in the country's record Powerball jackpot came forward.

Mark and Cindy Hill and their family accepted a check for half the $587.5 million jackpot during a news conference at North Platte High School in Dearborn. The Hills purchased one of two winning tickets in the Powerball's grand prize at Trex Mart in Dearborn. The other winning ticket was purchased in Arizona.

Cindy Hill said she almost had a heart attack when she learned of their winning ticket. She said they have been unable to sleep since learning of their big win. "People keep asking us 'what are you going to buy with that?' I haven't even thought about that. I just want to go home and be back to normal," she said.

Mark said he went shopping recently for basic necessities after the Powerball win and still found himself checking the prices. "Old habits are hard to break," he said.

The Hills have already met with financial planners to learn how to best handle the multi-million dollar jackpot.

Cindy - who bought the winning ticket - said they didn't have a strategy for picking the winning numbers. The winning numbers in the Wednesday drawing were 5, 23, 16, 22 and 29. The Powerball was 6.

She added that they are taking the lump sum payment and planning on a happy holiday season.
"I think we're going to have a pretty good Christmas," she said.

The prize of $293,750,000 awarded to the Hills is the largest lottery prize ever awarded in Missouri.

The Trex Mart also received a check for $50,000 during the news conference.
