Updated: November 29, 2012

On November 28, 2012 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest following a recent investigation. Police say Deborah Seagle Jordan was arrested after an investigation revealed a series of cash transfers were conducted by Jordan to funnel cash from an estate settlement check issued to the victim earlier this year. As a result of the transactions, Jordan ultimately deposited the funds into a personal account for her own gain.

Investigators further stated the investigation would remain open as the information developed in this case may lead to further charges. Dothan Police encourage anyone with information regarding this case, or anyone involved in business with Jordan who believes they may have been a victim of a similar scam to call the Dothan Police Criminal Investigative Division at 615-3646 or Crimestoppers at 793-7000.

Deborah Seagle Jordan, white female, 55 years of age, of Cottonwood, Alabama was arrested and charged with First Degree Theft of Property with a $30,000 bond. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
