Florida's Jelani Jenkins to Miss Bowl Game

By: Josh Rultenberg
Updated: November 26, 2012
When the Florida Gators go bowling, they will be without junior linebacker Jelani Jenkins.

Jenkins left during the second half of Florida's victory over the Florida State Seminoles. Head coach Wil Muschamp said that Jenkins has undergone surgery to repair a bone in his right foot, which will cause him to miss 4 to 6 weeks.

While the Gators will be without Jenkins in their bowl game, freshman Antonio Morrison will take his place on the defensive front. Morrison sparked the 24 point rally to beat the Seminoles with his hit on E.J. Manuel that jarred the ball loose.

Morrison is eighth on the team in tackles with 30, giving him one more tackle than Jelani Jenkins.
