"My Dad does most of
the cooking, but my Mom does pitch in sometimes," said Avery Groover.
"The only things she
cooks are the frozen, the microwave and the oven," Avery said laughing.
"I like to help my Dad in the kitchen; I put up all the ingredients and put it in the oven," said Avery.
"I enjoy them coming in and wanting to do something with me because in today's age kids don't always want to be around you, so if they want to come in and help cook," said Groover with a smile.
For over twenty years
his family ran a restaurant here in Dothan.
"That's the memory that I have in my house and that's the memory that you want your kids to have with you. Memories are not made on the Wii; they are made in the kitchen and other spots in the house where you can talk and enjoy and interact," said Groover.
She has her strengths
and I have mine; one of them is cooking and I enjoy it," explained Clint about
his wife Kandy.
After 15 years of marriage
it's what works for the Groovers and they say regardless of who is doing the
cooking this Thanksgiving they are thankful for plenty of food and memories to
share.
