Zadle Mitchell

Mrs. Zadle Mitchell of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 in Enterprise.  She was 85.

            Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Enterprise with Rev. Sonny Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 20 from 5 until 7 pm.  The body will be placed into the church one hour prior to service time.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Enterprise First Baptist Church Youth Program, 302 N. Main St., Enterprise, AL 36330.

            Mrs. Mitchell was born October 31, 1927 in Marshall County, Alabama to the late Allie O. and Hattie McCreless Cole.  She was member of the First Baptist Church of Enterprise and the Compassionate Friends Sunday School Class.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Mitchell.

            Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Beverly Mitchell of Enterprise; one sister, Allie Swords of Albertville, AL; two sisters-in-law: Hilda Cole of Albertville, AL and  Daisey Cole of Ocala, FL; three grandchildren: Melanie Sneed (Fred), Meredith Hamilton (Keith), John Mitchell, Jr. (Heather), all of Enterprise; two step-grandchildren: Clifton Sneed and Kodi Hamilton; great-grandchildren: Jessica Sneed, Mitchell Bonura, Tatum Mitchell, Bailee Sneed, Camille Bonura, Tyler Mitchell and Tindol Mitchell; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Elaine Shell.

            The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Gary Allen, Gentiva Hospice and the staff on hall 5 at Enterprise Health and Rehab.
