Mr. Donald R. Thornton of Vernon, Alabama, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Medical Center Enterprise. He was 65.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Chandler Funeral Home Chapel in Vernon, Alabama. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sulligent, AL. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home from 6-8PM Monday night. Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of local arrangements.

Local survivors include his son, Joey Thornton a coach at Enterprise High School.
