Sandra Floyd Heffner, a resident of Dothan, AL, died Saturday, November 17, 2012. She was 70.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 P. M. Monday, November 19, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jim Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends at the church at 2:00 P.M.
Memorials or donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Heffner was born in Dothan, AL and lived her entire life here in Dothan. She was a retired teacher, a 42 year long time educator/administrator, a graduate from Auburn University, received her Masters from Troy State University, was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, and the P.E.O. Chapter "W". She enjoyed teaching her Sunday school class, was an avid reader, and loved to travel.
Survivors include; 3 children, son Rob Heffner of Dothan, daughter Gayle Welker (Jeff) of Raleigh NC. and son Jim Heffner (Melissa) of Decatur GA.; one brother Bill Floyd (Sydney) of Decatur GA.
Grandchildren: Jacob Heffner, Heidi Heffner, William Welker, Taylor Welker, and Adelyn Heffner.
