Rex Ward

Mr. Rex Ward of Slocomb passed away Friday, November
16, 2012 at his home. He was
88.
Funeral
services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, in Sorrells Funeral
Home Chapel with Dr. Chris Adams officiating.
Burial will follow in Slocomb City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of
Slocomb directing.
The family will
receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m.
Mr. Rex was
born on January 28, 1924 to the late Frank and Arrie Tate
Ward.
He was
preceded in death by parents as well as a son, Lamar
Ward.
Survivors
include his wife of 66 years, Annie Bell Spears Ward of Slocomb; one
daughter: Janice Dansby of Slocomb; two
sisters: Margaret Boutwell of Slocomb
and Jessie Mae Ray of Columbus, GA; two grandchildren: Ashley Dansby and Allison Dansby; several
nieces and nephews.
