A woman has been arrested for the theft about $15,000 in jewelry from a home in Ashford.  Ashley Renae Miller, 26, of Ashford was charged with Theft of Property First Degree.

Police Chief Jim Stanley said there was no apparent sign of forced entry into the home where the jewelry was stolen.  He said a short investigation revealed Miller as the person believed responsible. Additionally, Miller is believed by police to have sold some of the merchandise to a store in Dothan.

Miller was booked into the Houston County Jail and placed under a $15,000 bond.
