Jocelyn Banner James

Mrs. Jocelyn Banner James of Wetumpka departed this
life on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. She was
76.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Saturday, November 17, in Christian Home Church of Christ with Doctor Mark
Turner and Minister Dan Taylor officiating.
Mrs. James will be placed in the church at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will follow in the church cemetery
with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive
friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00
p.m.
Mrs. James was born on June 10, 1936 in Erwin, TN to
the late Kelly and Maggie Hoyle Banner.
Survivors include
her husband: Charles
James of Wetumpka, AL; two sons: Robert M. (Sonja ) Caton, Jr. of
Goodlettsville, TN, James Kelly (Monica) Caton of Tucker, GA; her daughter: Lori Caton Hammond of Dawson, TX;
step-daughter: Pamela Sherlock of
Wetumpka, AL; eight grandchildren: Christopher (Tonia) Hammond, Kyle Caton, Cara (Ron) Hartley, Amber
Hammond, Kurt Caton, Rachel Leigh Hammond, Dylan Sherlock, Devon Sherlock;
twelve great grandchildren; two brothers:
Alvin (Lois Ann) Banner of Leesburg, VA, Merrell (Martha) Banner of
Tucker, GA; sister: Phyllis Radar of
Huntsville, AL; five beloved nieces, and one beloved
nephew.
