Helen Lee, 86, of Dothan went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.

Funeral services will be held 10 am Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Heritage Baptist Church with Rev. Van Clack officiating. Burial will be held 1 pm Monday, November 19, 2012 at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at Heritage Baptist Church Saturday from 9 am until 10 am on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Resource Center, P.O. 1170, Dothan, Alabama 36302.

Mrs. Lee was born June 17, 1926 in Birmingham and she resided the early years of her life there. Mrs. Lee moved to Montgomery in 1946 and lived there for twelve years prior to moving to Mobile in 1958. She has lived in Dothan for the past 23 years. Mrs. Lee was a homemaker and the widow of Robert Hopper. She was a volunteer with the foster grandparent program at Girard Elementary School for over 20 years and a member of Heritage Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Greene and Elsie Stokes and her siblings, William Stokes, Milton Stokes and Elizabeth Esco.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy (Johnny) Wilkes and Susan (Jim) Patterson of Dothan; her grandchildren Jennifer (Brian) Jacobson, Melanie Calhoun, Melissa (Tony) Hix and Kristen Glass; her great-grandchildren, Barron Jacobson, Grant Calhoun, Katie Hix and T.J. Hix; two of her very close friends, Dorothy Ward and Myra Ennis; several nieces and nephews.
