Florida Quarterback Gets His Chance To Start

By: Josh Rultenberg
Updated: November 14, 2012

Jacoby Brissett has patiently waited all season long for the chance to start, and his time has finally come.

Fellow sophomore quarterback Jeff Driskel has started every game for the Gators this season, but due to a right ankle sprain, Brissett is finally getting his chance to lead the Gators.

Driskel was injured in last week's game against Louisiana-Lafayette, but Brissett came in to help lead Florida to a 27-20 victory.

The preparation will finally pay off for Brissett, and he is set to start for the first time this season for the Gators when they take on Jacksonville State this weekend.
