Without many questions asked, healthcare is provided to hundreds of people in need, but many more are lining up for it. People wait for hours outside of the Samaritan Medical Clinic in hopes of making it to the front of the line to be seen.

"We can only see so many patients a week until we get more volunteers that will help us and, hopefully, we'll be open a couple of days a week in the near future," explained Executive Director Dwight Deal.

The clinic provides basic healthcare needs such as blood pressure screenings, diabetic care and, once a month, they have specialists such as optometrists and podiatrists in as well.

"Our main need right now is monetary donations to help buy prescription drugs that we use and we also need more volunteers to help man the clinic," said Deal. The clinic also needs medical specialists who are willing to donate their time.

If you would like to volunteer call Deal at 334-790-4031.
