Susan M. Houston of Daleville, AL passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. She was 58.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in the chapel of St. Columba Catholic Church in Dothan with Father Patrick Gallagher. Burial will follow in the Daleville Memorial Gardens with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, 4301 West Markham St., Mail #816, Little Rock, AK 72205.
Susan was born January 20, 1954 in Oneida, New York to the late Kenneth Sr. and Shirley McCarthy Hyle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis D. Houston, a sister, Sandra Demass and a brother, Gary E. Hyle.
Survivors include 2 sons: Greg Houston (Mindy), Clarksville, TN, C.J. Houston (Toni), Midland City, AL; 2 brothers: Ken Hyle, Jr. (Donna), Riverview, FL; David Hyle (Sharon), New Hartford, NY; 1 sister, Barbara Hyle, Oviedo, FL; sister-in-law, Wendy Hyle, Lowell, NY; brother-in-law, Lee Demass, Virginia; 5 grandchildren: Joseph Houston, Elizabeth Plasencia, Madison Houston, Katelynn Houston and Jennifer Houston; special friend, Jim Musick, Level Plains, AL; several nieces and nephews.
