Mrs. Arvonne Valintia McVicker Culp Jakobsen, age 83, of Ozark, died Saturday morning, November 10, 2012, in Dale Medical Center.
A memorial service for Mrs. Jakobsen will be held 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center with Reverend Matthew Wright officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Interment will be at a later date in Ionia, Michigan.
Mrs. Jakobsen was born July 18, 1929 in Casnovia, Michigan to the late Lester Leroy McVicker and Jessie Mae Waite McVicker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Fredrick Hugh Culp, Jr. and Christian Michael "Jay" Jakobsen; one sister, Anne Chalker; and two brothers, Robert Niece and Marvin McVicker.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and John "Hans" Langhammer of Daleville, Linda and Garrick Eppinger of Appleton, Wisconsin;
two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael D. and Kathryn Culp of Enterprise, Mark and Marcia Culp of Lake City, Michigan.
Twenty grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36111.
