Ellen Christine Meadows Newberry, 84 of Ashford, AL. was born March 7, 1928 in Clearwater Florida passed away at her home November 8, 2012.
Mrs. Newberry was preceded by her parents Artice and Timetha Meadows, mother Christine Hudson Nelson, infant son John Newberry and grandson, James Michael Newberry.
Survivors include devoted husband of 67 years, James David Newberry, her children Ellen Loutricia Perry (James), Sharon McNemar (James), David Newberry (Regina) loving caregiver, Michael Newberry (Yolando), grandchildren, Morgan, Jerald, Joel, Julie, Kelli Sue, Jeremiah, David, Alexis, Aimee, Daniel, Kaci, Megan, Allison, and Samantha; seventeen great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and special nephew Gerald Nelson.
Mrs. Newberry was a faithful one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall on State Street in Dothan at 1pm on Saturday with minister Timothy Owens officiating.
