Dothan Police Department Announces Community Meeting for Commission District 2 Residents

The Dothan Police Department would like to announce that the Police Department along with the Fire Department will be holding a community meeting for the residents of Commission District 2 on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 starting at 6:00 p.m. at Wiregrass Park located at 620 Sixth Ave.

The community meeting will allow for residents to participate in a question and answer type forum with both Police Chief Greg Benton and Fire Chief Larry Williams. Chief Benton and staff will also discuss the importance of personal safety during the upcoming holiday season, the success of the Community Watch Program since the programs revision and re-implementation into the community, and what is required of residents to establish an active community watch group within their neighborhood. Fire Chief Larry Williams and staff will discuss the importance of fire safety due to the change in weather conditions and the use of heaters in the home and/or work place.
