Six people were hurt Wednesday morning when two SUV's collided just north of the Dothan city limits.  The accident occurred about 10:00 at the intersection of Napier Field Road and Mance Newton Road, about half way between Solomon Chevrolet and the Dothan Regional Airport.

Dothan Fire Department Battalion Chief Chris Etheredge said none of the injuries are critical and five of the six are considered minor.  It is believed all those involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.  "The occupants were extremely lucky to come out of this with the injuries they had," said Etheredge.

Etheredge admits the number of injuries was overwhelming at first but said resources were on the scene within minutes and the patients transported to the hospital quickly.

The investigation is being handled the Alabama State Troopers.

The accident happened about a mile from where an Ozark man was killed in a traffic accident Wednesday night.
