Home-and-Home Series Announced Between Arkansas and Michigan

By: Josh Rultenberg
Updated: November 7, 2012

A home-and-home series will be played between the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Michigan Wolverines starting in 2018.

The series was announced by both schools on Tuesday. Michigan will host the first game on Sept. 1, 2018, and Arkansas will host the second on Aug. 31, 2019. Both of these games will be season openers for the Hogs and Wolverines.

The two teams have only met once before in 1999 when the Wolverines beat the Razorbacks 45-31 in the Florida Citrus Bowl.

For the first time since 1981, Arkansas will compete against a Big Ten program. The last time Arkansas played a Big Ten school in the regular season was when they beat Northwestern 38-7.

Vanderbilt was the last SEC team to play at Michigan in 2006.
