Lorene Solomon Hall

Lorene Solomon Hall, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday morning, November 6, 2012. She was 95.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 9, 2012, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan, with Reverend Van Clack officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 A.M. Friday at the mortuary.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage Baptist Church, 1951 Westgate Parkway, Dothan, AL 36303 or to Gentiva Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL 36302.

            Mrs. Hall was born and reared in Headland, daughter of the late Emmett Curtis Solomon and Gussie Roberts Solomon. She was a graduate of Headland High School and lived in Dothan all her adult lifetime. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Hall, Sr. a daughter-in- law, Sarah Paulk Hall and two brothers, Tom Solomon and Will Solomon.

            Mrs. Hall was a devoted wife and mother and was very active in the Headland Avenue Baptist and Heritage Baptist Churches. In earlier years, she was a devoted and caring daughter to her elderly parents.

            Surviving relatives include two sons, John Robert Hall, Sr. and wife, Sue, and Ken Solomon Hall, Sr., all of Dothan; a special, loving sister-in-law, Rose Hudgens Solomon, Headland; three grandchildren, Kecia Hall, Ken Solomon, Jr. and wife, Sarah, and Meghan Hall Fletcher and husband, Dr. Matt Fletcher; six great-grandchildren, Jessica Plummer, Sydney Childress, Ken Solomon Hall, III, Harrison O'Neal Hall, John Grayson Hall and Bennett Hall Fletcher.
