Louise Lewis Williams

Louise Lewis Williams, a resident of Columbia, died late Monday afternoon, November 5, 2012, in a Dothan hospital. She was 81.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 8, 2012, in the Columbia City Cemetery with Reverend Eddie Littlefield officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland.
Mrs. Williams was born and reared in Houston County, daughter of the late Benjamin Rad Lewis and Reaber Mason Lewis. She lived all her adult lifetime near Columbia. Mrs. Williams was retired, due to disability, from Judy Bond Blouse Company in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Gordon Williams, three sisters, Evelyn Powers, Helen Butler, and Doris Lewis; three brothers, Ralph Lewis, Elton Lewis, and R.B. Lewis.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Norma Earnest and husband, Larry, Dothan; four sons, Herman Spooner and wife, Betty, Ashford; Ronald Williams and wife, Sue, Pansey, AL; Donald Williams and wife, Teressa, Dothan; Dwaine Williams and wife, Marcia, Columbia; a sister, Ruby Trawick and husband, Olan, Columbia; a brother, Durell Lewis and wife, Louise, Columbia; three sisters-in-law, Lois Williams, Columbia; Jackie Creel, Lyons, GA; Evelette McCorkle, Donalsonville, GA; brother-in-law, Jerome Williams and wife, Cheryl, Picayune, MS; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and her loving canine friend, "Skip."
Serving as active pallbearers will be the grandsons.
